Crypto on my Ledger Nano S

Hello!

I am sorry, my Dutch is not really good so I post my question in English.

I have the following cryptocurrencies on Binance and would like to withdraw them to my Ledger Nano S.

  1. Aion
  2. Wanchain
  3. Loopring
  4. Aelf
  5. Voyager
  6. Stratis
  7. Gas
  8. NEO

How can I do this?

To put cryptocurrencies on your Ledger Nano S, you follow the following steps:

  3. Install the neccessary apps on your device
  4. Withdraw the cryptocurrencies from the exchange to your hardware wallet

1. Make your device ready

  1. Plug your hardware wallet in to the computer and follow the steps on the device.
  2. Create your own PIN and write down the recovery seed on the paper that came with the device.
  3. Make sure you keep this reqovery seed on safe place so nobody except you can find it.

2. Install Ledger Live

  1. Download Ledger Live for your computer (both Windows and iOS are possible)
  2. Open Ledger Live and click on "Manager"
  3. Connect your hardware wallet with the computer
  4. Update the device with it's new firmware if needed
  5. Navigate to "apps catalog"

3 Download the neccessary apps

You have 8 different cryptocurrencies which means that you need more than 1 app on your device. The Ledger Nano S doesn't have that much of storage so sometimes it will be neccessary to download an application, put the cryptocurrencies on the wallet and then delete the application to make it possible for your to download another application.

Good to know: by removing the application from your device, you do not remove the coins. 

Let's just first check if every cryptocurrency you have, can be stored on the Ledger Nano S

  1. Aion - Yes
  2. Wanchain - Yes
  3. Loopring - Yes
  4. Aelf - Yes
  5. Voyager - Yes
  6. Stratis - Yes
  7. Gas - Yes
  8. NEO - Yes

Now we know that we can store all of them on the device, let's do this one by one, starting with Aion.

Let's get the deposit address from your Aion wallet to receive Aion on your wallet.

  1. Open the Manager in Ledger Live.
  2. Connect and unlock your Ledger device.
  3. Navigate to the app catalog and find Aion
  4. Install the Aion app
  5. Your device will display Processing... 
  6. The installation of the Aion app is confirmed.
  7. Download the Aion Desktop wallet
  8. Open the Aion app on your Ledger Nano S
  9. Navigate to Settings within the Aion app on your device, and ensure that Contract data is set to yes
  10. Open the Aion Desktop Wallet, and select Import account
  11. Select Ledger, click Connect to Ledger, and finally Import.
  12. Choose the first address to import and click Continue
  13. Navigate to the "Receive" tab of the desktop where you will find your public account address.
  14. The public key you will find here is your personal deposit address. Copy this deposit address, you will need it later.

Now let's withdraw your Aion cryptocurrencies to your hardware wallet.

  1. Login at Binance
  2. Click on "Wallet" -> "Spot Wallet"
  3. Search for Aion and click on "Withdraw"
  4. Paste your deposit address you just copied from your Aion wallet. Double check if the address is copied correctly.
  5. Insert the amount you would like to withdraw and press "Submit"
    You will pay a little bit fee for the transaction
  6. You will receive an email to confirm your transaction. Double check the deposit address and when this is correct, confirm the transaction.
  7. Wait about half an hour and you will find your Aion coins in your Aion Wallet.

Now you have your Aion coins stored on your hardware wallet!
